Published high-resolution spectral observations of the high-redshift quasars OQ172, 4CO5.34, PKSO528-250, and PKS1448-232 are analyzed statistically in a search for molecular-hydrogen absorption lines. The data are presented in tables and subjected to statistical, signal-to-noise-ratio, and astrophysical tests. The only systems identified are one at redshift 2.27292 in OQ172 and two, at redshifts 2.37030 and 2.44478, in 4CO5.34. Discrepancies between these results and those of other searches are discussed.
