Recent HI observations of the nearby (10 Mpc) LSB galaxy NGC 1512 reveal an extended (100 kpc), tidally disrupted disk. The merger activity with neighbouring galaxy NGC 1510 has caused recent (10 Myr) star formation as traced by GALEX ultraviolet observations. An HI cloud of 5 x 10}^7 solar mass was discovered 75 kpc from the centre of NGC 1512. The discovery of this cloud lead to the incorporation of HIPASS mapping of the area in order to compare mass caluculations and search for traces of additional intergalactic clouds. HIPASS maps indicate an HI mass of the system that is a factor of 5 greater than the 5 x 10^9 M_solar measured by the ATCA. HIPASS maps are suggestive of intergalacitic HI. This proposal aims to survey the region with high sensitivity to search for HI detections with a higer associated confidence level.
