A balloon-borne gamma-ray telescope employing a large-volume lithium-drifted-germanium detector as the central element was flown in an attempt to detect gamma-ray lines from two recent nova explosions and from the Crab Nebula. The energy range covered was 100 keV to 5 MeV. No lines were detected from the novae, even though a sensitivity relevant to current theories of explosive nucleosynthesis was achieved. The Crab continuum was detected between 100 keV and 1 MeV. Evidence for a line feature from the Crab Nebula at 400 + or - 1 keV is presented. Such a line may be produced by positron annihilation at the surface of the Crab neutron star.
