The Astrophysics Multispectral Archive Search Engine (AMASE) will complete its final phase of development in the coming year and will provide an operational search and discovery tool for the community. AMASE (http://amase.gsfc.nasa.gov) is a Web based data-locating service built using object-oriented database (OODB) methodology that allows NASA multi-mission and multispectral data archives to be searched easily by scientific parameters. In 1998, we have extended the spectral coverage to encompass almost the entire electromagnetic spectrum; added observations from the HST, IUE, ASCA and Alexis; enriched the object classification scheme; and included the ADC holdings of catalogs and journal tables. We are developing a semi-automatic pipeline and a suite of database loading utilities to enable more astronomical objects to be ingested into the metadata base and referenced by the search engine. We are incorporating the Data Viewer (http://adf.gsfc.nasa.gov/adf/visualization/) developed for ADC catalogs to provide visualization of query results. Enabling interoperability with other data archives, user-defined views, positional data mining, and object cross identification are the subjects of on-going efforts. AMASE will be demonstrated at the NASA GSFC Astrophysics Data Facility's exhibit booth.
