MERLIN observations are presented of the 18-cm continuum and OH megamaser emission from III Zw 35. The OH megamaser is the most compact yet mapped, with a projected size of only 100 pc, and coincides with the radio nucleus. It shows the characteristic signature of a rotating nuclear disk, namely a strong gradient of velocity with position, centered on the optical redshift of the galaxy. The major axis of the disk is misaligned by 40 deg with respect to the optical image of the galaxy. The OH maser output per unit volume is the highest known for any megamaser, and probably requires an enhanced OH abundance of at least nOH/nH2 of about 0.00001.
