Scientific paper

A revised and expanded catalog of coronal mass ejections identified in data from the High Altitude Observatory's coronograph aboard NASA's Solar Maximum Mission spacecraft is presented. The list includes events observed during 1980 and the period 1984 - 1989. Th first edition was published in July 1990. Descriptions and measurements of mass ejections included in the first catalog were expanded and revised. A few additional mass ejections were identified in the data and were added to the listing. The catalog was expanded to include morphological descriptions of each event and apparent speed measurements, whenever possible.
