Weierstrass elliptic functions are used in the present closed-form, general redshift-magnitude formula for open and closed Friedman universes with cosmological constant, radiation pressure, and matter at zero temperature. Although the assumption that the matter is a zero-temperature dust which does not interact with radiation makes an examination of the early stages of the universe (where the expansion is not adiabatic) impossible, the present formula allows a testing of cosmological models at a sufficiently late stage of evolution.
