The abundance of zinc in the solar photosphere is investigated based on recent solar data and multi-component Hartree-Fock calculations of oscillator strengths. The equivalent widths of six solar neutral zinc transitions at wavelengths from 4680 to 13053 A considered by Lambert et al. (1969) are analyzed in terms of the neutral zinc oscillator strengths calculated by Biemont and Godefroid (1979), with the effects of microturbulence taken into account. Abundances of 4.59 plus or minus 0.01 and 4.60 plus or minus 0.03 are obtained using the revised Holweger model (1974) and the atmospheric model of Vernazza (1976), respectively, with a microturbulence parameter of 0.8. It is pointed out that these abundances are now in good agreement with meteoritic zinc abundances.
