The Lambda-operator perturbation technique, known in NLTE line transfer calculations, is used for improving the temperature correction procedure. The approach presented here makes use of the formal solution to the radiative transfer equation and is capable of treating line blanketing effects by considering line opacity distribution functions. The method is shown to overcome all the problems related to the classical Lambda-iteration.
