The radio loud phenomenon is usually related to luminous elliptical galaxies and massive black holes. Also, recent results suggested that radio-loud galaxies have more massive black holes than radio-quiet ones, however, this result still is a matter of debate. We will present observations of the galaxy IRAS01475-0740, a radio loud AGN in a low luminosity elliptical, which does not fit in the above scenario. We will discuss the results of multi epoch VLA and VLBA observations, the evolution of the radio spectrum during the last 17 years, and the small scale structure as observed with VLBA.
