A radiating generalization of the Ernst (1976) electrovac solution is
presented. A complex vectorial analysis of the metric is given. When the
magnetic field is switched off, the present solution reduces to Vaidya's
(1953) shining-star solution. The details regarding the solution are
also discussed.
