A quick approximate method for solving the equation of hydrogen ion
diffusion in the ionosphere is proposed and recommended for use in the
development of applied ionospheric models. It is shown that the
approximations used in this method provide sufficient accuracy and high
efficiency in comparison with the traditional procedure.
