We present a way to generalize the Gromoll-Meyer construction of the
Gromoll-Meyer 7-sphere in a certain class of bundles with equivariant
projections and some applications to exotic spheres. In particular a geometric
realization of the exotic 8-sphere and the subgroup $bSpin_{11}$ of homotopy
10-spheres.
