The Mauna Loa Solar Observatory (MLSO, http://mlso.hao.ucar.edu/) provides data products at many wavelengths from a set of instruments on telescopes in Hawaii. The center for processing, at the High Altitude Observatory (HAO) in Boulder, Colorado, provides archival data from 1980 on to the latest images, for download via the web. Data from other instruments, including the STEREO mission, will be integrated with coronal data from MLSO to create new products.
Importantly, the Coronal Multichannel Polarimeter (CoMP)is now producing data. It is the prototype of the proposed COronal Solar Magnetic Observatory (COSMO, http://www.cosmo.ucar.edu/) facility. COSMO would a new facility to routinely study coronal magnetic fields, and would produce in excess of 500 Tb/yr
This poster proposes the framework for a new data processing pipeline which will be designed for flexible configuration depending on the needs for different instruments and objectives for science and space weather information distribution.
