The extragalactic radio celestial reference system of the IERS is compared with the JPL VLBI survey at 2.29 GHz. In JPL VLBI survey, more than 600 strong compact extragalactic radio sources are found to be capable to be interpolated in the radio celestial frame with the multiple reference sources using the differential VLBI method which is developed from the phase referencing VLBI technique and the local reference frame VLBI technique. A feasible method for the interplotation is suggested.
