The guaranteed accuracy (GA) of the prediction of the position of Comet Halley from ground-based observations and observations from the Vega spacecraft is assessed. Also analyzed are the guaranteed errors in determining the geocentric coordinates of the Vega spacecraft and the comet relative to these spacecraft. In addition, the total GA of the prediction of the comet coordinates at the moment of encounter with the Giotto spacecraft is presented.
