A spectroscopic period of 58 years has been found for the K2 II + B3 IVe composite system HR 2577 (HD 50820). Preliminary orbital elements were calculated for this double-lined pair, giving equal masses for the two stars. The B star is seen to undergo secular changes in the appearance of its Balmer line emission which seem to be unrelated to the binary motion. It is predicted that the system may be capable of being resolved by the technique of speckle interferometry.
