Uranus Satellites: Astrometry

Scientific paper

The major satellites of Uranus were observed with the CCD detector equipped on the 1.56 m telescope at the Shaanxi Astronomical Observatory during the 1995 opposition. The observed positions were compared with those calculated theoretically. The result has shown that the precision of the data obtained using the CCD detector are better than those obtained using the photographic plates. Therefore these observations are valuable to the investigation of the orbits of the Uranian satellites.
