Precession of the plasma jet emitted from active galactic nuclei is
shown to lead to a specific circular structure in the extended bright
radio components. Parameters of the precessing jet for the radio galaxy
Cyg A are estimated. The possibility of superluminal variations of the
structural features in the hot spots of some radio sources is noted.
