We present deep VLA maps of the nearby spiral galaxy NGC 628 at 6 and 20 cm. These maps allow us to identify and study this galaxy's population of radio supernova remnants with a level of completeness that has only been reached in a small handful of other galaxies. We construct a luminosity function (LF) for the radio SNR, compare it with LFs for other galaxies, and attempt to explain differences in terms of star formation rates. We also compare our radio maps with Chandra images of the diffuse X-ray gas in order to probe the relationship between supernova remnants and X-ray superbubbles.
