Fairly high-speed photoelectric photometry in B and V has been carried
out of the ultra-short period RR Lyrae star CY Aqr for five consecutive
cycles. The observations cannot be reconciled either by the beat period
given by Elst (1972) or by Fitch (1973). The beat phenomenon in this
star may therefore be fictitious.
