A synthetic light curve technique is used to analyze 50-cm 297-UBV
observations of the Algol-type eclipsing binary Y Hyi obtained in 1976
and 1977. The system shows complete eclipses, and is semi-detached, with
the secondary filling its critical Roche lobe. The primary minimum is
due to an occultation.
