A photometric atlas has been prepared to the spectrum of the K giant gamma Tau, covering the wavelength range 5186-8700 A and thus supplementing that for the blue-green region by Gratton et al. (1975). Based on spectrograms of dispersion 4.9 A/mm obtained with the 1,2 m telescope and coudespectrograph of the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory, the atlas is the first in a set of four comprising also Alpha Boo, Rho Boo, and Delta Boo A, that will illustrate separately the effects upon the spectrum of variations in temperature and metal abundance. Here the atlas is presented, and the region 7000-8685 A is shown in extenso.
