Photoelectric photometric observations of DF Hydrae were made in 1985, including two primary and two secondary minimum times. The period was found to be varying, and a new epoch formula is derived. An extensive search for the mass ratio q was carried out using the Wilson-Devinney method. The photometric solution is given. DF Hya is probably an unevolved contact binary.
