Based on the Navier-Stokes equations for a compressed viscous gas, a two-dimensional numerical model of heat convection with a vertical wind shift is constructed. The cases of convection rolls, which are longitudinal and transversal with respect to the wind, are considered. For different Rayleigh numbers, the conditions for stability of the roll structures are determined. They may prove useful for studying the dynamics of the Martian atmosphere for the Aerostat component of the mission Mars-94.
