In this paper an approaching method is adopted in marking the Offner compensatory for testing a 800 mm parabolic mirror. According to the actual situation, the author fixes the parameters, which had already been accurately measured and then optimizes the whole system by adjusting the residual parameters to meet practical precision. Thus critical requirement in manufacturing can be alleviated and the processing time can be saved as well.
