We discuss the non-parametric Bayesian algorithm CHASSIS that seeks the most likely gravitational potential structure and phase space distribution of a system, from which a measured sample of kinematic data is drawn. The quantification of the influence of the assumption of phase space isotropy, which is a feature of the current version of CHASSIS, is discussed in the context of a Bayesian test of significance. Relaxation of this assumption and possibility of thwarting the malefic influence of the same, using data from independent sources, are discussed.
