The claim of Kurtz and Wegner (1979) that the lines of the Paschen series have an equivalent width of up to 4 A in HD 101065 cannot be confirmed. Their strength is only about 1% of that amount. Consequently, the temperature of HD 101065 cannot be as high as 7400 K, as Kurtz and Wegner claim. Several criteria show that HD 101065 is a late F star, most likely an F8 star.
