For eight galactic Cepheids used by Feast and Walker (1987) to determine the zero points of the period-luminosity and the period-luminosity-color relations, a comparison is made between the distances obtained from the visual surface brightness method and the distance moduli of the suggested parent clusters and associations of these stars. Due to the discrepancies found, it is suggested that V Cen and WZ Sgr not be used in the calibration of the period-luminosity relation when the ZAMS-fitting method is employed. Most of the Cepheids considered do apparently belong to the clusters and associations suggested by Feast and Walker.
