The numerical results obtained by Garcia-Alegre et al. (1982) for the Fourier transform properties of the line broadening due to differential rotation were reported to be different from those of Bruning (1981) by as much as 30%. This discrepancy may be removed by noting that the results of Garcia-Alegre et al. apply explicitly to the case of no limb darkening while those of Bruning refer to an assumed linear limb darkening. When the correction to the transform amplitudes is made for limb darkening, the results of Garcia-Alegre et al. and Bruning agree totally.
