There is ample evidence for current star formation within the 30 Doradus Nebula, which appears to have been triggered by the massive central cluster {R136}, in and just beyond the curved nebular filaments surrounding it. These filaments appear to be ``star-formation fronts'' moving into the dense dust clouds beyond. The evidence consists of IR continuum and H_2 sources found from the ground, an H_2O maser, early O dwarfs embedded in dense nebular knots, and intricate bright and dark nebular structures in WFPC2 images which are signatures of star- formation activity. We propose to investigate this ``second generation'' in 30 Dor with NICMOS imaging. Sixteen NIC2 fields will be observed in JHK and three in H_2 and BrGamma; they have been strategically selected from the ground-based and WFPC2 information. We shall investigate the extent of this triggered generation and its luminosity function. No observations of these regions are included in current NICMOS programs, which exclusively target the {older} lower main sequence in R136 itself. 30 Doradus is the nearest and hence most highly resolved extragalactic starburst; an understanding of its complex structure and evolution is essential for interpreting the integrated properties of more distant, unresolved starburst regions.
