Photometric and spectroscopic characteristics are defined of the "slow" and "fast" flare stars. A new case of a "slow" flare star in Orion, is presented. It showed an increase of > 8.4 magnitudes in UV, during a period of 118 minutes. The peculiar physical characteristics observed in both types of flare stars, can be due to the fact that the phenomenon which produces the outburst is located at different layers or depths of a given star. It is also concluded that the "slow" flares only occur in very young stellar aggregates where there are still T Tauri stars; thus adding a new observational constrain in the study of the evolution of stellar aggregates.
