A family of relations similar to the Tully-Fisher relationship (1977) between the peak rotational velocity and intrinsic luminosity of a galaxy is derived which may be used in the estimation of the luminosities of spiral galaxies from their rotation curves. Examination of the Tully-Fisher relation for a sample of 21 Sc galaxies reveals the blue magnitude of these galaxies to be proportional to 13 + or - 1.5 times the log of the maximum rotation velocity, which result shows that the luminosity-velocity relationship is not wavelength dependent when the sample is confined to a single Hubble type. A family of correlations between the parameters of the rotation curves and intrinsic luminosities of Sc galaxies is also found, which is illustrated by the relation of the ratio of the radial distance where the rotational velocity has reached 100 km/sec to the isophotal radius with the luminosity. It is expected that this family of relations, once calibrated for dependence on Hubble type, will prove useful in luminosity and distance estimation.
