A new pulsar luminosity function which takes the narrowing of the beam with increasing pulsar age (and decreasing spin rate) into account is calculated. The radio luminosities of the pulsars are obtained from revised distances using an intrinsic bandwidth which varies with the period following a formula proposed by Guseinov and Iusifov (1985). Numerical results are compared with those obtained using apparent pulse widths in tables and graphs.
