New photometric observations show that the pulsation period of BW Vulpeculae has increased by 0.28 s between 1979 and 1982. This new period change makes the pulsation somewhat unstable during the three years. During the transient phase between the two values of the period, cycle-to-cycle variations, both in the amplitude and in the period, appear. The new observations do not support interpretations based on continuous or sinusoidal variations of the period.
