We present new radial velocity data for the massive binary, HD 199579 (O6 Ve), a member of the Cyg OB7 association, using spectra obtained form IUE, CFTH, KPNO, and the GSU Multiple-Telescope Telescope. We derive a revised period, P = 48.520 +/- 0.003 d, and new orbital elements. There is some evidence of a faint secondary component (probably an early B-star) in the He I 5876 Angstroms line and IUE cross-correlation functions obtained near the velocity extremes. HD 199579 is probably representaive of a significant fraction of massive binaries with large mass ratios and faint companions.
