An improved orbit of the astrometric binary Alpha Ophiuchi (V = 2.08, spectral class = A5 III) is presented. The data were obtained from the Allegheny and Sproul Observatories for the periods of 1934-1963 and 1946-1964 and previously unmeasured Sproul plates for the period of 1965-1967 and 1985-1990. It is found that the combined data over six revolutions yield an orbit with P = 8.67 yr.
