A new map of the regolith albedo of Mercury based on visual studies by
Mario Frassati in the interval 1997 to 2001 with a 203mm catadioptric
telescope at Crescentino, Italy, is presented. It is hoped to encourage
greater amateur participation in the study of the planet.
