We will use Michelle in echelle mode to measure Zeeman sensitive Mg I emission from Eps Eri. The Mg I emission lines at 12 microns have long been recognized as a way to measure magnetic fields in K-F stars. The development of mid-IR instruments on large telescopes finally permits us to investigate this diagnostic. We will compare high signal-to-noise measurements of the line profiles with NLTE radiative transfer models to infer the vertical structure of magnetic flux tubes on Eps Eri and to test the concept of pressure equipartition. 40 Eri will be observed as a non-magnetic control star.
