We report the discovery of an OB association containing Sk -67 105, the early O-type binary system exiting the HII region N 50 (DEM 193) in the LMC. Direct CCD imaging performed with the 2.15m telescope at CASLEO, San Juan, Argentina, in a 9 arcmin diameter area centered at the position of Sk -67 105, reveals a concentration of blue stars inside N 50. Colour-magnitude diagrams of the region suggest that an OB association is present, the early O-type binary system being its most luminous member. Moreover, we find Sk -67 105 to be located in a tight group of about ten stars inside a radius of ten arcseconds. We have also obtained optical spectra of the brightest OB members of the association.
