We present a novel method to find X-ray clusters of galaxies which combines the analysis of archival XMM-Newton and Chandra data. The technique takes advantage of the XMM-Newton throughput and the excellent Chandra PSF in order to distinguish clusters optimally from AGN. We have applied the technique to 100 square degrees of archival data and have constructed preliminary X-ray cluster and AGN catalogues. We have also constructed log N-log S distributions of clusters and AGN and demonstrate agreement with previous work. The method detects clusters and AGN that emit only a few X-rays hence the potential for large catalogues of X-ray sources.
