A method for correcting random errors in the observed distribution of astronomical quantities is proposed which is based on statistical regularization using the method of convex programing. The method has been tested on several model problems and found to provide satisfactory results. The method proposed here can be used for studying the distribution of OB stars in selected directions in the plane of the Galaxy.
