Redshift differences in AGN are studied. The Cerenkov line redshift of the Balmer lines are calculated based on the Cerenkov line radiation theory, and the results are compared with observations. It is concluded that these redshifts provide an improved explanation for the fact that the high-ionization broad emission lines of quasars are blueshifted with respect to the H I and the low-ionization broad lines.
