We report the discovery of a new Local Group dwarf galaxy in Cetus. The
object is of very low surface brightness and very diffuse, a dwarf
spheroidal resembling Tucana. Based on a color-magnitude diagram it is
at a distance of about 800 kpc. Although it was found on ESO survey
plates, it does not appear to have been previously catalogued.
