Doppler observations of Jupiter carried out in 1996 are reported [1]. A magneto-optical filter has been used providing the signals on the opposite wings of the Sodium D-lines (B, R) and the continuum reference signal. The two computed quantities cal R=(B-R)/(B+R) and cal S=(B+R)/conti\-nuum have permitted to discriminate between oscillation and albedo "modes" and to compare the results with the previous ones obtained in 1991 [3] and 1993 [2]. A new upper limit on the modes amplitude has been setted at ~ 2 m s(-1) . The features of the intensity fluctuations in the power spectrum are due probably to albedo variations on Jupiter's surface and to instrumental effects. The authors thank the Ministero della Pubblica Istruzione and the Osservatorio Astronomico "V.Cerulli" di Teramo for financial support. References [1] Cacciani A., Moretti P.
