. The empirical relations among the Weinberg angle and the electromagnetic coupling constant when combined with the Higgs condensate, all at the "zero momentum transfer", suggest the existence of a new light neutral vector boson. Utilizing a three-dimensional coupling constant space description, in which a new mixing angle appears, the five vector bosons are associated with the two parallel SU(2xU(1) gauge groups. These gauge groups are pontaneously broken by the Higgs mechanism, described in the two-dimensional coupling constant space, yielding the masses to all vector bosons except to the photon. The Higgs field consists equivalently of two spherical doublet components or just one Cartesian doublet component. The consequences of this scheme on the description of electroweak processes is being pursued.
