For a better understanding of the characteristics and evolution of massive stars in the LBV phase, which are rare (short lifetime) and hard to find, it is mandatory to obtain a sample as complete as possible. M33, being the closest face-on spiral galaxy, is an ideal target to search for (candidate) LBVs, and to extend the sample of LBVs known. Within our systematic search we report here our first LBV candidate.
