We have begun a multiyear project to develop a new JHK secondary standard star network faint enough to use with large telescopes and with NICMOS on HST. We are now observing two groups of potential faint candidates with 10.5 < K < 12.3: 1) 142 stars chosen from the HST Guide Star Photometric Catalog with 0.40 < B-V < 0.72, scattered as uniformly as possible over the northern hemisphere, declination > -11(deg) (a complementary set of southern stars has been chosen, but not yet observed), and 2) a set of about 30 equatorial standards selected from a variety of sources to have the widest possible range of V-K within our K magnitude limits, currently about -0.7 < V-K < 4.6. Our ultimate goal is 5 to 10 measures of each star to obtain overall JHK accuracies of better than 1%.
