The Uegit meteorite was found at Dersa, east of Uegit, Somalia in 1921. The meteorite had a mass of about 252 kg. In the investigation described, mineralogical, chemical, and metallographic studies of the meteorite were conducted. The morphology and the macroscopic structure of the meteorite are considered and tables, showing the results of a microprobe analysis and of chemical analyses, are presented. The results of a metallographic examination are discussed for each of the three specimens studied.
