A new kind of hydrogen-maser time and frequency standard was installed at the Sheshan 25-meter radio telescope in Shanghai, for very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) experiments. This paper describes its design feature and structure as well as the measured results of its performance. Its application and data in VLBI experiments are also included.
